Southern Harmony Quartet
The Quartet was a blessing to many as they endeavored to lift high the name of Jesus and His saving power. They traveled across Western Tennessee boldly sharing the Gospel in song. The Quartet was formed and based in Darden, Tennessee. In the fall of 2006 Keith and Randy felt God leading them in a different direction, and they resigned their positions within the group. With heavy hearts the Quartet bade them farewell, and they began to ask God to provide two men to help continue the ministry. In late July of 2007, Southern Harmony Quartet was privileged to have Morris Rogers join as the lead singer. His talented lead vocals were a much needed addition. Two weeks later Derek Simonis was asked to handle the baritone part. Although he is the youngest member of the group, Derek feels extremely blessed to be able to take part in the ministry. The Lord has blessed the group as they have traveled across Tennessee singing His praises. They have won the hearts of those who have come to listen. Accolades include a first place finish in the 2007 West Tennessee Quartet Convention Group Talent Competition. While some of the faces have changed, the mission of Southern Harmony Quartet has remained the same. They still have the same attention to detail which results in beautiful harmony. The Quartet continues to sing traditional Southern Gospel, the greatest music in the world. Most of all, however, Southern Harmony Quartet is committed to lifting high the precious name of Jesus that lost souls might be saved.

Morris Rogers Southern Harmony Quartet's lead singer is a man who has many great loves in his life, but his love for "Southern Gospel Music" is one of his greatest. Having started his singing career at the tender age of three, he's continued to sing and grows more thankful each day for the opportunity that God has given him to share the wonderful "Love of God" in song. One of the greatest days of his life was April 14, 1971 when he accepted Jesus Christ into his heart and life as his personal savior. Morris has been married for 23 years to his lovely wife Penny and they have been blessed with two beautiful daughters, Tara and Brenna, both of which attend the University of Tennessee at Martin.
